Medieval Studies Workshop
The Medieval Studies Workshop is a Research Unit in the Division of Literatures, Cultures, and Languages. It serves graduate students at Stanford by organizing research workshops with outside guests, reading groups for current scholarship and for medieval Latin, and guest lectures on any aspect of the Middle Ages broadly understood. While being an independent unit, it sometimes collaborates with CMEMS and other research centers and groups to enhance its offering. The MSW was started in 2019 by Marisa Galvez and Kathryn Starkey, and was run by Johannes Junge Ruhland until Spring 2022.
