Professor Kevin Terraciano of UCLA discusses indigenous codices describing the conquest of Mexico to unearth indigenous memories of the war in Mexico Tenochtitlan. Terraciano is the foremost translator of indigenous chronicles of the period, and he is coeditor and cotranslator for the 2005 collection “Mesoamerican Voices: Native-Language Writings from Colonial Mexico, Oaxaca, Yucatan, and Guatemala”.
